So after i did my firmware update,my video feed started to distort and it is difficult to see what is going on or wgat the mavic sees so i had to land my movic to aviod crashing it because the video feed was poor.
Dji help. What can i do to solve that problem as u can in the video

I have the same issue since couple of weeks. At first I thought it has something to do with interference or weak signal, but the Mavic was in the line of sight, few dozen meters away. Changing the angle of antennas didn't help or change was not noticeable.
It is very annoying and draws drone barely usable for photography or filming.

This issues been ongoing for 9 months now...and getting worse. Be careful as your next errors may be AC disconnect, app crash and loss of RC control.  DJI will say it is likely a signal  interference issue - even though it happens also at close range with no signal warnings.  This is 100% Go4 App defect...

I started getting this issue about a week or so ago. To me it only happens in Photo mode and not in Video mode which is very puzzling to me. I will try an earlier version of the DJI Go4 App and see if that fixes the issue.

so i have changed from samsung galaxy 7 edge to ipad air and the result changed there was no distortions and i connected it directly to the usb port on the RC but when i used the same method with my s7 edge plus ,the problem didn't go away. so i think i need to reset my phone to factory .Here is the video i record when i used ipad  and connecting it directly to usb port

I had to  give up on my Android devices for Flying my Mavic Pro. The pixeling and video lag made it totally unsafe to fly.  I went to Walmart and bought a Apple Mini 4 128G tablet which were on sale. I loaded the current DJI Go 4 app and it works with no issues.

Here is why I gave up on Android.
The firmware for the Mavic/ Controller and DJI Go 4 app have added several new features that simply have been optimized for Apple. The DJI Go 4 App was really pushing my Droid Moto Z Force to its limits. (The Force exceeds the resource requirements with its Quad core 2+ Ghz CPU, and 4G memory)  Several thousand Mavic owners are experiencing the same issue I dealt with. DJI knows exactly what they did, when they added all the new features, along with introducing the Mavic Pro Platinum, Mavic Air platforms.   After reviewing all the threads, the common theme was to try and downgrade firmware, try a previous versions of DFI Go 4 apps.  I tried all the suggestions with  some temporary success, this is a bad strategy because once your stable you are stuck with no path to upgrade.  The administrators keep on pasting  the text on which devices  they support for the DJI Go 4 app, which translate to go pound sand, and buy a device on the list. I looked at all the Android devices on the list, and the Moto Z Force should be on par or perform better.  The Apple users had some issues but even older devices with slow processor and 2G of Ram still worked fine. DJI will not be able to fix the Android hardware resource problem on most Android devices.  My opinion is they wont waste the time or resources, and they sure have not come clean on what their plan is. So if you can afford a Apple device that on the list that's the fix.  I just hope DJI learned something when  they try launch there next Drone.  They should just package  the Crystal Sky with controller and call it a day.

I have this same problem and it's been happening since the last update or 2 of the app.  I have a Google Pixel XL running Android 8.1.0  which has been the same version I've been using for the passed 4-5months and before the last couple DJI GO 4 app updates video used to be flawless on it no weird digital compression issues like we're seeing in the videos.   I'm currently running DJI GO 4 app 4.2.21 with my Mavic Pro.  DJI Please fix this as it's making a $1000 drone useless.

Hi all,

I am having the same issues on Android. I feel obliged to report because flying the drone is a nightmare right now, totally unsafe when the camera image is dropping or is distorted. At the same time I experienced strange gimbal behavior (horizon tilted, looked a bit like airplane mode).  I thought I had issues because my memmory card was full (issue occurred around the same time) to I will try with another card inside. I don't think this will help but I'll give it a try. I didn't try the option provided by DJI Paladin, but I will to be sure.

Hopefully this issue can be fixed on short notice, it breaks my fun flying the Mavic. The always trusty, rock solid Mavic experience is like a flying UFO with drunk aliens inside at random times.

So its even happening on 4.2.21?? Thats crazy! Why would they even release a new version not fixing this distorting issue??? Its like DJI is not even taking into account the comments in these forums! Revert the app back to 4.2.14 or 4.2.16

It's the only fix for now.

As for the Mini4, I have one and it too is getting buggy with blocks of missing pixels. That app is wrecking devices. Maybe when it trashes the iOS user group they'll do something about it.
Until then they have to deal with the bad mouthing in reviews, Play Store, FB, Mavic Pilots forum, and so on.

Well something is working.... look how many are buying an iOS device to help solve their problems. Not too many Android device owners happy with that option. Some are just looking at other drone mfg's.

revert the Go4 app to 4.2.14 or 4.2.16. Should help get things to normal

Early reports suggest that 4.2.21 isn't fixing the issue. The change log is showing Map Layout Issue, which I doubt was really fixed anyway.  Odd that with the overwhelming reports of issues since 4.2.16, that they even bothered to release 4.2.21 as any other fix other than the Video Transmission issue, essentially renders the update irrelevant. Nobody can run it any way.  Makes ZERO sense, to waste a minute of time on anything other than this mission critical problem.

Admins, can you PLEASE guide your developers to drop all other pursuits with the DJI Go 4 Android App, and ONLY focus on the Video Flaw problem.  How many reports do you guys need before someone finally gets focus on what's going on out there?

Had I known that after 2 months I'd be running into mission critical issues like this, requiring rollbacks, and after a month the DJI reps still are refusing to acknowledge the widespread issue, I'd highly recommend returning the product.  Besides, with the MP2 coming, the deals on the first gen are going to continue to get better and better.  Return it while you can, Imho.

Only one question, if the problem of the video is due to App 4.2.22, and not to the FW, how could you explain that the video fails at the same time on the app ( with iPhone6) and on the Goggles RE?
I was told that the RE are receiving the video directly from the aircraft, in my case the MP.
Another mysterious mystery.

The issues reported on this thread are related to the Android App versions 4.2.20/4.2.21.

If you are running into problems with your Apple device on  4.2.22, start a new thread.

I did reset camera settings before filming the sample I posted earlier. So no, it didn't work.
I use DJI Go 4.2.21 on OnePlus 3T and Mavic Pro with latest firmware.

I use DJI Go 4.2.21 on OnePlus 3T and Mavic Pro with latest firmware.

Roll back the firmware to .0300 and roll back the app to 4.2.16. Latest verion apps are horrible. 4.2.21 did not fix 4.2.20.

Don't expect an Android fix anytime soon. Probably will require an entire rewrite of the apps. Android issues have been ongoing for months and months. They'll tell you your device in not compatible.

Next you can buy an iOS product as per a zillion other suggestions in these same threads.

The device you have is and should be above spec for Go4 app. 6G ram is plenty.  Better spec cpu than required.

You can try disabling any back running apps to see if that helps. Also if any power saving options are set for the Go4 app, disable them.
